Phil Schmidt, Tom’s son, worked for the company part-time beginning in 1978. In 1985, he started full-time after graduating from Western Kentucky University.

Schmidt Contracting. was presented an award for 50 Perfect Installs by Carlisle’s president, Hugh Kennedy.

Schmidt Contracting was featured on the 1986 Bryant Show Car.

Austin Schmidt, Phil’s son, worked for the company part-time beginning in 2009. In 2019, he graduated from Indiana University and moved back to work full-time within Schmidt Contracting.
